But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

At this single moment in time, the God of all creation has His eyes fixed on you. Stop. Be still. Calm yourself. Think. Where are my eyes focused at this moment? What is vying for your affection, thoughts, and deepest passions? Be honest and really consider what your heart is telling you. Turn off the television, the radio, ringer on the telephone and listen. Where are you standing in relation to the God who made you? He's been watching you all of your life. He sees your patterns, knows your thoughts and heart, gives you breath, a heartbeat and longs for you to know Him and share your life together.
On the cross of Calvary, the most powerful collision of forces took place when the pride of you, me and the rest of the human race met the humility of God in the body of His Son Jesus Christ. This moment in time around 2,000 years ago was the greatest act of obedience and sacrifice that has ever been demonstrated on the face of the earth. Because of this collision, our sins have been covered by the precious blood of Christ. However, God's plan did not end there. Christ was buried, and on the 3rd day He was raised from the dead that you and I could have eternal life. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. (1 Corinthians 15:19) In light of the truth, If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:1-3). But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. When you focus on Him by faith, every other part of your life will fall into place. His peace will guide you through the struggles and His strength will hold you when you feel life falling. If you can get this one relationship right, then His love will overflow into your marriage, family, church, community, and far beyond. Focus. Focus. Focus!
