A Redeeming Story

(10-28-03 12:25PM)

Colossians 1:13-14 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

On the crosses
Three men did hang
Two on the outer side did rail
On the innocent Lamb that was slain

From the foundations of the world
The Son of God knew of this day
A sacrifice for all mankind
Come unto Him all that may

At the foot of the cross
Every tongue and knee will bow
To confess Jesus as Lord
For the time is now

With nails in His hands and feet
He looked beyond the pain
For He stood on the promises
That His Father said He would reign

King of Kings
Lord of Lords
The Word that became flesh
A piercing sword

Truth sincere and genuine
On the cross did break the curse
To save His sinning friends
The lowest and the worst

He loved them still
Even though they returned with bitterness
His fountains of life through spotless blood
An atonement of peace and sweetness

A body broken and torn
By His stripes we have been healed
His blood is still fresh
For my God is that real

Railings and false accusation
Throughout the centuries of time
Will you believe in the world or Life
He continues to do miracles and signs

While in despair of death
One of the men on the cross did say
This man is innocent
From the knees of his heart did pray

I am guilty fearing God
Jesus save me please
I can do nothing for myself
At that moment, Christ met his need

Today, you will be with me in Paradise
A place of God’s presence
Justified by faith through grace
An eternal blessing

A lively hope became his
In the land of God’s great glory
Just a sinner he came as he was
Saved by Love’s merit—
A Redeeming Story
